Farioli on the podium at Cremona with VFT Racing
VFT Racing is back on the Supersport World Championship podium. At Cremona Circuit, the stage for the tenth round of the 2026 season, Filippo Farioli demonstrated real feeling with his Yamaha R9 right from the first session, qualifying on the front row in Superpole before securing a significant third-place finish in today’s Race 1.
Already in Friday’s practice, the Italian showed strong speed. In the afternoon, Farioli was back out for Superpole and set a best of 1’31.430. The Italian put in the third fastest time, assuring himself of a spot on the front row for Saturday’s race.
Race 1 got underway in sunny conditions in the early afternoon, shortened to 13 laps after an initial race was interrupted with a red flag. When the race restarted, Farioli again started strong, moving into the leading group. The VFT Racing rider maintained strong pace and battled all the way to the line to finish third and secure an important podium in front of the Italian crowd.
Today’s result confirms the step that Farioli and his team have taken in the last few races and repays all their hard work at recent rounds. Tomorrow, VFT Racing will be back on track at Cremona Circuit for Race 2, with the goal of finishing this second Italian round of the season in the best possible way.
